Author : Danish Kalam Sharieff and Dr. Nischay N Gowda

Abstract

Vaastu Shastra, an ancient Indian architectural science, prescribes principles for designing spaces that harmonize with natural elements and promote well-being. Applying Vaastu Shastra principles to the design of washrooms involves aligning spatial orientation, materials, and layout to optimize energy flow and create a balanced environment. This abstract explores the integration of Vaastu Shastra in washroom design, highlighting its influence on aspects such as placement of fixtures, ventilation, and use of colors to enhance hygiene, comfort, and psychological well-being. By aligning modern architectural practices with Vaastu Shastra guidelines, washroom designs can potentially contribute to a more harmonious and auspicious living environment.
