Matangini Hazra Its Impact on Educational Change: In Modern Education System

Abstract
This study focuses on the life and contributions of Matangini Hazra, a notable figure in India’s freedom movement. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, she actively participated in non-violent movements and worked for social reform, women’s empowerment, and education. Despite personal hardships, she showed remarkable courage and dedication to the nation.
The paper highlights her role in promoting the mother tongue, vocational education, and social service. It also examines her contribution to nationalism and the awakening of women in the 20th century. Her martyrdom during the freedom struggle symbolizes her unwavering patriotism. The study emphasizes the importance of recognizing such unsung heroes and their relevance in present-day education and society.
