Abstract

The global market is now experiencing increased competitiveness and a great deal of uncertainty in order to survive and thrive over the long term in the modern period and post-globalization phase. For the firms to maintain their position as market leaders, they no longer have access to the capital, large-scale operations, technology, and IT infrastructure that were once sufficient for meeting the uncertain challenges of the complex market and its environment. In order to help organizations gain a competitive edge and become market organizers, organizations and management scholars are now focusing on finding and identifying new assets that can be more valuable, effective, and able to capture the market easily for longer periods of time. According to the experts, human resources (HR) are without a doubt the most significant, valuable, and intangible asset since they have a significant impact on an organization's ability to obtain a competitive edge and increase productivity. A few additional studies were conducted in light of this, elaborating on how employing particular HR strategies and concentrating on the subject can help businesses boost employee productivity as well as sales and profits. Thus, strategic human resource management (SHRM) is becoming a necessary component of the expansion process for emerging nations.
